007 First Light release date in India: When can you play, preload details, amd more

IO Interactive's 007 First Light goes live globally on May 27, 2026, with Indian players getting access at 7:30 PM IST. Pre-order buyers can jump in a day earlier through Early Access on May 26.

The Danish studio behind the Hitman series is reimagining James Bond as a young, slightly reckless MI6 recruit still working through training. Rather than rolling out at midnight in each region, IO Interactive is using a synchronised global launch, so every player unlocks the game at the same real-world moment.

Early Access opens 24 hours before the official launch

Anyone who pre-orders the digital edition gets Early Access on May 26 at 7:30 PM IST. The pre-order also throws in a free Deluxe Edition upgrade, a decent sweetener if you were planning to buy the Standard version anyway.

US players unlock at 7 AM PDT, UK at 3 PM BST, and eastern Australia at midnight on May 27.The full release follows the same time grid, shifted forward by exactly 24 hours. Standard edition buyers in India can start playing at 7:30 PM IST on May 27.

007 First Light preload is live, but only on PS5

PlayStation 5 owners can already preload the game. It went live on May 24 at 7:30 PM IST and clocks in at a surprisingly lean 45.6 GB, well below the bloat of most current AAA releases.

PC buyers will need 80 GB on Steam or the Epic Games Store, while Xbox Series X/S owners are looking at 55 GB. IO Interactive recommends keeping an extra 20 to 30 GB free for the day-one patch.PC and Xbox players don't get preload at all. Both platforms only start downloading once the game unlocks on May 27.

What 007 First Light brings to the table

The game is a narrative action-adventure that follows Bond through MI6's training program, framed as an origin story for the world's most famous spy. It is IO Interactive's first title under its licensing deal with Amazon MGM Studios, and the studio's first major release outside the Hitman universe in years. 007 First Light will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
