Patna: Amid applause and patriotic fervour, a total of 1,025 Agniveers were inducted into the Indian Army following a passing out parade (POP) at the Bihar Regimental Centre (BRC) ground in Danapur on Sunday.The ceremony marked the culmination of rigorous military training undergone by the recruits, who are now ready to serve the nation. The atmosphere at the parade ground was charged with enthusiasm as family members, military officials and dignitaries witnessed the occasion, BRC adjutant Lt Col Ankur Kumar Mishra said.During the oath-taking ceremony, the Agniveers pledged unwavering allegiance to the Constitution and the nation.
The oath was administered by Lt Col Mishra in the presence of the tricolour. The recruits took the pledge while placing their hands on holy scriptures, symbolising their commitment to duty, integrity and sacrifice.Major General Jai Singh Bainsla, Colonel of the Bihar Regiment, reviewed the parade and took the salute of the marching contingents. Addressing the newly inducted soldiers, he lauded their discipline, courage and dedication displayed during training.
Congratulating the Agniveers, Major General Bainsla urged them to uphold the highest traditions of the Indian Army and serve with honour and commitment. He expressed confidence that they would emerge as capable defenders of the country’s sovereignty and security.
