11 Bangladeshi nationals, 10 Rohingyas nabbed by BSF in Tripura

Agartala: Amid tight security measures during the festive period, the BSF apprehended 21 illegal migrants in a series of coordinated operations across Tripura on Sunday. The group included 11 Bangladeshi nationals detained from various locations in the state.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, BSF teams intercepted suspicious activity at Agartala Railway Station, where they found 11 Bangladeshi nationals who had illegally entered India and were attempting to travel further inland.In a separate operation in North Tripura, BSF personnel detained 10 Rohingya migrants — including women and children — who were reportedly trying to return to Bangladesh.Preliminary questioning revealed that the Rohingya group had travelled from Delhi and Jammu with the intention of reaching Moulvibazar in Bangladesh.
