11th annual convention of Bhavaprachar Parishat in Dharwad from Friday

Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashram in Dharwad is organising the 11th annual convention of Karnataka Ramakrishna Vivekananda Bhavaprachar Parishat at the Lingayat Bhavan in Dharwad from Friday.

According to Swami Vijayananda Saraswati of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashram, the three-day conference will begin at 11.30 a.m. on October 24 with Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot inaugurating it.

President of Ramakrishna Ashram in Mysuru Swami Muktidananda Maharaj, Gurusiddha Rajayogindra Swamiji of Hubballi Moorusaviramath, Swami Anupamananda Maharaj, Swami Tyageshwarananda Maharaj, Swami Bodhaswaroopananda Maharaj and Swami Nirbhayananda Maharaj will participate in the inaugural session.

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, MP Tejasvi Surya, MLA Arvind Bellad, the former MLA D.R. Patil and Mayor Jyoti Patil have also been invited for the inauguration.

On the same day, a youth convention will be organised at noon and resource persons Sandeep Vashishta, Vereshananda Saraswati and orator Chakravarthi Sulibele will deliver lectures.

At 3 p.m., there will be a special devotional music session by Kshemamkari Satsang Centre from Bengaluru, followed by a session on Vivekananda’s Philosophy at 4 p.m., he said in a release.

On Saturday, a teachers convention will be held at 9.30 a.m. Chairman of Legislative Council Basavaraj Horatti will inaugurate the convention and Swami Muktananda, Sri Mallikarjun Swami of Murugha Mutt, Dharwad, and Kumar Veerupaksha Swamiji of Uppin Betageri along with district in-charge Minister Santosh Lad will participate.

At 2 p.m., Chintana Manthana and cultural programmes will be organised followed by a session on the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa at 4 p.m.

Vocalist Pandit M. Venkatesh Kumar will present a devotional music concert at 7 p.m.

On the concluding day, a devotees convention will be inaugurated by Law Minister H.K. Patil at 9.30 a.m. with MLA N.H. Konaraddi participating in it.

A session on the teachings of Sharada Devi will be organised at 11.45 a.m. The valedictory session will be at 4 p.m. in which seers from Ramakrishna Mission will participate followed by music and cultural programmes at 7 p.m.
