Cristiano Ronaldo has lost 13 official titles with Al Nassr since 2023, including the latest King’s Cup exit to Al Ittihad.

Cristiano Ronaldo's hunt for his first major trophy with Al Nassr continues (X)
From a serial winner to a star chasing lost glory, Cristiano Ronaldo’s time in Saudi Arabia has been anything but the fairytale many expected.
The Portuguese icon, who once collected trophies with clockwork regularity at Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Juventus, is now enduring an uncharacteristic trophy drought, one that has stretched across 13 tournaments since he arrived at Al Nassr in early 2023.

The latest heartbreak came on October 28, when Al Nassr were dumped out of the King’s Cup by Karim Benzema’s Al Ittihad in a dramatic round-of-16 clash.
Despite Al Ittihad going down to ten men early in the second half, they clung on for a 2-1 victory — leaving Ronaldo and his teammates empty-handed once more.
The night started brightly enough, with Benzema striking first for Al Ittihad before Ronaldo assisted Otávio (Angelo) for the equaliser. But just as momentum swung towards Al Nassr, Houssem Aouar netted in first-half stoppage time to restore the lead and seal Al Ittihad’s progression.
For Ronaldo, the defeat was more than just another loss — it was a symbolic blow in a chapter increasingly defined by near misses.
Since his blockbuster move to Saudi Arabia, major honours have eluded him, with his only silverware being the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup — a regional tournament not officially recognised by FIFA.
In official competitions, Al Nassr have fallen short in three finals and continue to chase their first Saudi Pro League title since Ronaldo’s arrival. The King’s Cup drought, stretching back to 1990, only adds to the frustration.
Still, there remains a glimmer of redemption for the Portuguese.
Al Nassr currently lead the Saudi Pro League and remain unbeaten in the AFC Champions League Two, giving Ronaldo one more shot at ending his most unlikely struggle: finding silverware in the desert.
