15-year-old raped by 4, including 2 minors, in MP

JABALPUR: Four persons, including two minors, allegedly gangraped a 15-year-old girl who went to a fair with her friend in MP's Balaghat district. Police arrested both the adult accused and detained the minors after filing an FIR.

The accused have been booked under Pocso Act, various sections of BNS for rape, blackmail, and the IT Act.Lalbarra police station in-charge Sunil Chaturvedi said the accused forcefully made an obscene video with the girls at the fair on Oct 26. After this, they started demanding Rs 10,000 from the girls to delete the video. When her friend went to get the money, the accused raped the 15-year-old. Later, they started demanding Rs 40,000, threatening to make the video viral. The girl then told her family about the crime. Based the family's police complaint, FIR was lodged on Nov 1. Waraseoni SDOP Abhishek Chaudhary said Danish and Ayyub Qureshi were arrested and produced before a court Monday, which sent them to jail.

Police have taken the minors into custody. "We have seized their mobiles and are collecting data," he said.
