18 residents rescued in Sagar Complex fire in Gowliguda

Eighteen residents were rescued safely after a fire broke out at Sagar Complex in Jambagh, Gowliguda, early on Monday morning. No injuries or casualties were reported.

The blaze was noticed around 4.55 a.m. on the first floor of the G+3 building, which has commercial units on the ground and first floors and residential units on the upper floors and penthouse. The Gowliguda fire tender was the first to respond, followed by a water bowser. Additional support came from the Yakutpura MPT, a Fire Robot, and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).

The rescued residents were identified as Sampath, 72, Shanta Devi, 70, Pareshwa, 36, Sanju, 36, Aruna, 40, Archana, 27, Himensh, 13, Avi Sharma, 8, Swaroopa, 50, Sravani, 21, Saranya, 17, Sravan, 17, Sai Tarun, 26, Shanta, 55, Satish, 45, Arthi, 40, Vishal, 20, and Virat, 11.
