Patna: Hours after returning from a wedding, a 19-year-old youth was found hanging at his residence in Mainpura Tarachak under Danapur police station in Patna district on Thursday, according to police.
They said no suicide note was found in his room, so the reason was not clear yet.Piyush Raj, alias Rocky, had returned home with his friend around 4am, and around 8am, his younger brother Sahil found him hanging from a ceiling fan in his room. Upon receiving the information about the incident, police visited to the spot.Danapur station house officer (SHO) Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj said they received the information about the incident around 9am.
"Raj's brother found his room locked from inside when he went there around 8am. When there was no response from inside, he got suspicious and broke open the door only to find Raj hanging through a noose," he said, adding the body was sent to Danapur subdivisional hospital for postmortem examination.
"The forensic team was called for investigation. No suicide note was, however, found in Raj's room. The family members have been asked to submit a written application in this regard.
The actual reason behind the suicide is not clear yet," the SHO told this newspaper.
