Walking out to bat alongside captain Ayush Mhatre, Suryavanshi smashed 20 runs off just 14 balls, including one four and two towering sixes. However, his T20-style aggression didn’t translate into a big score, as he was dismissed by Alex Green with India U-19’s score at 37 — a big early blow.Earlier, England U-19 had posted a solid 309 in their first innings, courtesy of a brilliant 117 off 155 balls from Ekansh Singh and a composed 59 from captain Thomas Roe.Suryavanshi had already made an impact in the first Youth Test, which ended in a draw. He scored 14 in the first innings and then blazed his way to 56 off 44 balls in the second, hitting 9 fours and a six.

He also contributed with the ball, picking up two wickets — becoming the only player in the match to notch up a fifty and take wickets, highlighting his potential as a genuine all-rounder.With the second innings still to come, Suryavanshi will be eager for another opportunity to make a meaningful contribution with the bat.
