2-wheelers drive in fast lane

NEW DELHI : Major two-wheeler companies reported strong growth in FY26, due to sustained customer demand, improving market sentiment and stronger rural demand, aided by festive push and new product launches.Industry leader Hero MotoCorp sold 64.6 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters in FY26, up from 59 lakh units in FY25, registering 9.5% Y-o-Y growth. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) recorded total sales of 63.6 lakh units in FY26, posting 9% growth over the previous year.TVS Motor reported one of the highest growth rates among major players, with two-wheeler sales rising 23% to 56.7 lakh units in FY26 from 46 lakh units in FY25. Royal Enfield maker Eicher Motors reported sales of 12.3 lakh units in FY26, up 23% year on year.
