Some new ministers are likely to be sworn in to the BJP government in Chhattisgarh on Wednesday morning, around 20 months after the party came to power in the state in December 2023.
The BJP has sent a letter to all its MLAs, asking them to be present at Raj Bhawan for the ceremony.
While the names of the ministers have not been finalised, some names doing the rounds within the party are MLAs Gajendra Yadav, Guru Khushwant Saheb and Rajesh Agrawal.
Presently, the Chhattisgarh Cabinet has 11 members, including Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
In the 2023 Assembly elections, BJP won 54 seats, Congress won 35 and one seat went to the Gondwana Gantantra Party (GGP). Apart from Sai, 11 ministers were named in the Cabinet, including Brijmohan Agrawal, who later quit his MLA seat and successfully contested Lok Sabha elections.
