20-year-old woman stabbed in Karnataka’s Chikkamagaluru

A 20-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after a youth allegedly stabbed her at Kalasa in Chikkamagaluru district on Friday.

The victim, identified as Kavya, was allegedly stabbed by Mohan, 25. She is a resident of Gudde Thota who works at a private lab, while the accused is a native of Jayapura in Koppa taluk.

The accused reportedly stalked the victim and proposed her; when she refused and maintained a distance from him, he allegedly stabbed her. The victim is currently under treatment.

The Kalasa Police have taken the accused to custody.
