Oklahoma City earns a total of $8,805,000 for claiming the championship trophy alone
The prize pool for the winner of the NBA Finals stands at a whopping amount of $8,805,000, while for the runners-up, it stands at $3,803,000. After the Game 7 results, the Oklahoma City Thunder will take away the huge amount reserved for the team that wins the championship trophy, while the second-largest amount will get added to the amount already earned by the Indiana Pacers through their impressive performance in the playoffs and also making it to the finals.

Oklahoma City Thunder player earns a total of $828,000 each after an impressive season throughout
Having performed the best among 30 other teams in the Western conference, the Thunder added $869,345 to their prize pot, later on adding another $761,000 for all the records achieved throughout the season. Additionally, the team received an amount of $1.99 million for making it to the finals and now an amount of $8,805,000 for winning the finals.
In total, the team will take home a soaring amount of $12.42 million, resulting in an amount of $828,000 for each player.
Indiana Pacers finish second in the league, racks up an earning of $5.79 million
After winning the Eastern Conference finals, the Indiana Pacers had already secured an amount other than the $1.99 million that the team received upon reaching the finals. Additionally, the team had added an amount of $372,000 to their prize pot. Finishing the league championship second, the team’s total earnings now stand at $5.79 million
However, this is just the prize pool for the winners of the league. According to the Mirror, a huge amount of $34.7 million has been divided among the players of all NBA playoff teams over the postseason. According to the statistics, the amount paid to each player this season is a $1 million increase in the payment received by each one of them in the previous season.
