Kozhikode is all set for the elections to the three-tier local bodies scheduled for Thursday (December 11, 2025) with 3,097 polling stations being set up across the district.

Candidates of the Left Democratic Front (LDF), United Democratic Front (UDF), and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and their supporters engaged in silent campaigning on Wednesday (December 10, 2025) as they tried to personally contact voters in their wards over the phone or through social media. The workers also formed small groups and visited the houses in their respective areas. While the LDF is confident of retaining its supremacy in the Kozhikode Corporation, district panchayat, block panchayats, and grama panchayats, the UDF is hopeful of breaching many Left citadels this time. The NDA, meanwhile, is claiming that it will increase the number of elected representatives in the district, especially in the Kozhikode Corporation.
