3 dream WWE matches for Sting that never happened — But should have!

Sting had a short tenure in WWE, wrestling only a handful of matches.Sting is one of the most renowned legends in the professional wrestling world. The man who carried WCW on his back for years was dubbed 'The Franchise' of the promotion.

After WCW closed down in 2001, Sting chose to explore the outside wrestling scene and not join the giant WWE.

However, after thirteen years, The Icon finally made his shocking debut in WWE at the 2014 Survivor Series event.Upon his debut, Sting was used as a part-time attraction and wrestled a few matches against stars like Triple H and Seth Rollins. Despite putting up great performances against them, here are the three WWE matches he should be a part of:

3. Bray Wyatt

At the time, Sting was a part of WWE; Bray Wyatt was captivating the WWE Universe with his dark antics, mysterious personality, and vision to take the whole world in his hands. In Sting's WrestleMania debut, Wyatt himself wrestled a legend like The Undertaker, which meant that he was poised for great success.

WWE should have explored a feud between Sting and Bray Wyatt after that, which would have been an exciting program to witness between the two dark forces.

2. John Cena

Much like Sting, John Cena had been the Franchise Player in WWE. He was in the prime of his career during Sting's tenure in the Sports Entertainment juggernaut. Moreover, Cena and Sting even teamed up for a match on Monday Night RAW, which was a memorable sight to witness.

However, WWE should have had a battle between the franchises of WCW and WWE inside the squared circle, and it would have been a blockbuster showdown.

1. The Undertaker

The one dream match for Sting that the fans had been longing for years was his battle against the equally respected legend and character, The Undertaker. Both men were locked room leaders for WWE and WCW during the heights of the Monday Night Wars. While both men did wrestle during the early beginnings of their careers, they did not share the ring in their prime. In fact, during Sting's time in WWE, The Undertaker was still an active performer.
