3 students arrested for assualt, drug consumption in Karnataka

UDUPI: Three students have been booked on charges of drug consumption and assualt, following an incident of campus brawl. The accused are Krish Malav, Raj Veer, and Vikram Veer. They were arrested and produced before the court, which remanded them to judicial custody.According to the police, the incident was uncovered following a brawl. On Thursday, Raj Girish Suvarna appeared before the police and lodged a complaint, claiming that he and his friend Satvik Bhandari studing Business Management in Manipal, were threatened and assualted. At around 10.55 am, while they were in class, the accused verbally abused Raj Girish Suvarna and Satvik Bhandari using foul language, threatened to kill them, and assaulted them.

As a result, Satvik sustained a fracture in his left shoulder bone.Accordingly, a case was registered at the Manipal Police Station under Sections 126(2), 352(2), 351(2), 117(3) read with 3(5) BNS against the three accused. The investigation revealed that the accused were students and had consumed drugs.
