30 Bihar NDA MPs to meet PM today

Patna: All 30 NDA parliamentarians from Bihar will call on PM Narendra Modi on Monday to express their gratitude for his brilliant campaign efforts that saw the coalition return to power with a historic mandate after assembly elections conducted last month. The PM spent significant time in the state seeking support of the masses through his election rallies during the two-phase elections.“We all want to thank the PM for the way he worked and ensured the magnificent victory of the NDA in the just-held assembly elections. We won more seats than we had expected,” JD(U) MP from Jhanjharpur Ramprit Mandal told reporters on Saturday evening. He said they would meet the PM at 10.30am on Monday and seek his blessings and guidance.Mandal said throughout the election campaign, the “Nitish-Modi pair” remained a big hit and was widely endorsed by the masses. “The entire Bihar accepted Nitish’s policy and Modi’s visionary thinking in a big way as the NDA posted a landslide victory,” the JD(U) MP said. The PM left a deep imprint on the state assembly elections, addressing as many as 14 election rallies in different parts of the state and also holding roadshows. A significant feature of the PM’s visits was that wherever he addressed his rallies, the voting percentage jumped significantly, ultimately leading to the NDA’s win.The NDA emerged victorious on a total of 202 out of the state’s total 243 seats this time. Of them, 89 seats were won by the BJP, 85 by the JD(U), 19 by the LJP (RV), five by HAM (S), and four by Rashtriya Lok Morcha.
