33 arrested for stone pelting on trains

South Central Railway’s Railway Protection Force has arrested 33 offenders for stone pelting on trains in the last two months from the 54 stone pelting reported. All the cases are under trial in the jurisdictional courts concerned.

Another seven persons were held for placing foreign materials on railway tracks. GM Sanjay Kumar Srivastava appealed to people to support railways in tackling such activities and advised them to call ‘139’ number to report against any people indulging in such activity so that swift action can be taken.

He also appealed to parents to educate children about the negative consequences that such actions have in terms of safety to passengers, loss of precious national resources, while also impacting ones future, said a press release.
