350 personnel to be engaged in counting in Bhojpur

Ara: Bhojpur district magistrate Tanai Sultania, in capacity of the district election officer, along with superintendent of police Raj inspected the strongroom-cum-counting centre made at Bazaar Samiti in Ara on Wednesday.The strongroom-cum-counting centre has been placed under a three-tier security, along with CCTV camera surveillance, according to the Bhojpur SP.Altogether 350 poll personnel will be engaged in the counting process in Ara, where the votes will be counted for seven assembly constituencies of the Bhojpur district.Conducting a detailed review of the security arrangements as well as the preparations for the counting of votes, both the DM and SP directed the returning officers and others concerned to ensure strict compliance of guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India.“Special emphasis was laid on ensuring complete transparency and impartiality in the counting process, apart from an effective traffic management, maintenance of law and order, and crowd control,” said the Bhojpur DM.The candidates and their representatives are constantly monitoring the security arrangements, said a district official deputed at the counting centre on Wednesday.Strict restrictions have been imposed for the entry to the counting centre premises. Only the authorised personnel will be allowed at the counting centre, said a district election official.The election for the seven constituencies was held simultaneously on Nov 6 in the first phase of the Bihar elections, 2025.
