4 kgs ganja seized, seven peddlers arrested

In a crackdown on drug smuggling, police arrested seven ganja smugglers in Machilipatnam and seized four kilograms of contraband from them on Thursday.

Krishna district Superintendent of Police R. Gangadhar Rao confirmed the arrest and said: “The operations were led by Machilipatnam Deputy Superintendent of Police Ch. Raja. The arrested individuals include both ganja consumers and peddlers. With ongoing investigations, more arrests are likely”. The DSP urged parents to keep a tab on their children’s activities to prevent them from falling into drug abuse.
