4 Killed, 3 Injured As Truck, Car Collide In Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki

The accident took place near Aanchal Chanchal Dhaba on the Barabanki-Bahraich Highway when an Ertiga car collided head-on with a truck.

In a tragic incident, at least four people, including a woman died, and three others were injured after a car and a truck collided on highway in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki on Monday.

The accident took place near Aanchal Chanchal Dhaba on the Barabanki-Bahraich Highway when an Ertiga car collided head-on with a truck.

The four people– three men and a woman travelling in the car– died on the spot while three people including two children were severely injured.

According to the police, one deceased has been identified as Aayan Qureshi (23), a resident of Imambara Kotwali Nagar Gonda. The process of identifying the other three deceased is underway.

Meanwhile, after first aid, the injured have been referred to the district hospital from CHC Ramnagar.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognisance of the incident and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased.

He further instructed the officials to immediately reach the spot and expedite the relief work as well as provide proper treatment to the injured. He has also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

“UP CM @myogiadityanath has expressed deep condolences on the loss of lives in a road accident in Barabanki district. He has expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. The Chief Minister has immediately sent the injured to the hospital and directed the district administration officials to provide them proper treatment. He also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured," UP CMO said in a post on X.
