580 units of blood donated as part of Police Commemoration Week in Tirupati

580 units of blood was donated by police personnel, as well as general public, at a blood donation camp conducted here on Tuesday, as part of the ongoing ‘Police Commemoration Week 2025’.

Superintendent of Police (SP) L. Subbarayudu, who formally inaugurated the camp arranged on Karakambadi road, also presented merit certificates to the donors. Police personnel from Tirupati, Chandragiri, Tirumala, Renigunta and Puttur sub-divisions took part in large numbers and donated blood.

The blood donations from this camp will be formally handed over to Government Maternity Hospital, SVR Ruia Government Hospital, SVIMS super specialty hospital and NTR Trust.

Meanwhile, a blood donation camp was also organised by Sri City Foundation and SVS Charitable Trust Blood Centre at Sri City, which was inaugurated by Sri City founder Ravindra Sannareddy and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Sri City) B.V. Srinivasulu.

175 persons donated blood at the camp, including employees from the various industrial units and institutions like Krea University, AGI, Alstom, Apollo tyres, Daikin AC, Isuzu, Kobelco, among others.
