5yo among 4 hurt in car-truck collision in Pilibhit

The injured were taken to Autonomous State Medical College hospital in Pilibhit for treatment

Pilibhit: Four people, including a five-year-old boy, were injured after a mini truck collided head-on with their car on Pilibhit-Madhotanda road near a forest stretch around 5 am on Sunday.

The truck driver fled the scene, and a search for him is on, police said.The relatives were on their way to the Sidh Baba temple in the Mala forest range to organise a charitable feast for poor people. They were taken to Autonomous State Medical College hospital in Pilibhit for treatment.Police said the car driver, Mahesh Chandra, 35, a resident of Deurania village, suffered a fracture in his leg. The other injured were Hitesh, 5, Bhagwan Das, 45, and Tara Chandra, 32, all residents of Basantpur village.SHO Brajveer Singh said, “An FIR will be registered after a written complaint is received from the victims’ side.”
