8 Bombers, 4 Locations: Faridabad Terror Module Hatched Sinister Plan, But Couldn't Execute It

As per the information accessed by CNN-NEWS18, the nexus had planned to carry out terror attacks in four cities across the country. However, the plan was successfully foiled.

A major attack was averted by the Indian agencies as the perpetrators belonging to Faridabad’s ‘white-collar’ terror module were planning to carry out attacks across four different locations across the country.

Amid the ongoing probe into the Delhi Red Fort blast, it was revealed that at least eight people from Faridabad’s terror module were selected to carry out serial blasts across four different cities. According to sources, the arrested accused disclosed the plan during interrogation.

Every group had two members, and four such groups were formed to carry out the plan, sources informed. All these groups were supposed to be given IEDs.

According to the plan, all these groups were supposed to carry out blasts simultaneously. However, the material to make these IEDs was successfully busted by the police and the agencies on time, foiling the attempt to carry out terror attacks at four different locations.

Further investigations are underway to expose the entire network. Meanwhile, the arrest of the other members of the module is still being done.

Cabinet Lauds Alertness Of Intelligence Agencies

According to the sources, Home Minister Amit Shah, during the Cabinet meeting, briefed the Cabinet members regarding how successfully the intelligence agencies and security system of the country foiled the terror plan.

Following this, the Cabinet lauded the steps taken by our alert security system and also discussed the Delhi Red Fort blast case. Later, the Cabinet brought in a resolution and passed it.

Delhi Red Fort Blast

At 6.52 pm on Monday, a white Hyundai i20 car pulled up to a red light at Subhas Marg, a crowded part of old Delhi, and exploded within seconds, sending shockwaves across the country.

The intensity of the blast was such that several vehicles were also engulfed in fire, and people were thrown around. The visuals circulating on social media from the ground showed mangled bodies lying around.

The blast came hours after the Haryana Police on Monday morning, along with Jammu and Kashmir Police, busted a “white-collar" terror module and arrested Dr Adeel Ahmad Rather and Dr Mujammil Shakil, close aides of Dr Umar Nabi, the suicide bomber, in November 10 blast.
