An eight-year-old Iranian boy has reunited with his classmates in China after spending more than a month cut off from them during rising tensions in Iran. The emotional moment was captured on video and has touched many people online.
The child, identified as Radin, had been studying in Shaoxing in east China’s Zhejiang Province before travelling to Iran with his family. What was expected to be a short visit soon turned into weeks of uncertainty after conflict disrupted communication and travel plans.
Family Lost Contact During Conflict
Radin had gone to Iran with his father earlier this year. Before leaving, he reportedly told his teachers that he would return to school in China soon. However, as tensions grew in Iran, the situation changed quickly and contact with the family was lost.
For 42 days, his school in China had no updates about him. Teachers reportedly kept trying to reach the family, worried about the young student’s safety.
According to reports shared online, Radin’s classmates were also deeply concerned. Some children wondered where he was, while others feared something terrible may have happened during the conflict.
Later, the school finally received news through a friend that the family was safe. After weeks of uncertainty, Radin and his family managed to return to China.
Classmates Welcome Him With Hugs
The emotional reunion happened when Radin returned to school and entered his classroom again. A video shared online shows his classmates surrounding him with hugs as soon as they saw him. The clip captures the joy and relief in the room after weeks of fear and silence. Several children are seen tightly hugging Radin while others gather around him excitedly.
Radin’s mother later reportedly shared that the family hopes he can continue his studies in China. She also expressed hope that life in Iran would become peaceful again soon.
The post describing the incident explained, “After 42 days of uncertainty and fear, the boy’s return to his classroom deeply affected both him and his friends."
