Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday laid the foundation stones, in virtual mode, for seven major industries coming up in Kuppam of Chittoor district.
The new projects, including Hindalco, Srija Dairy, Ace International, SVF Soya, Mother Dairy, E–Royce EV, and the ALEAP Women’s Industrial Park, together involve an investment of ₹2,203 crore. The government has allocated 241 acres for the projects. These ventures are expected to generate more than 22,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
Speaking after the ceremony, Mr. Naidu said the State government was providing full support and ensuring fast-track clearances for industries through the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), while developing specialised hubs such as Space City, Drone City, and Aerospace City.
“Kuppam, once considered backward, is now turning into a model constituency for industrial and social progress,” the Chief Minister said.
Among the key projects, Hindalco is setting up a ₹586-crore aluminium extrusion unit for high-end mobile and tech components, while Srija Dairy is investing ₹290 crore in an integrated dairy and cattle feed unit that will benefit women and farmers.
Ace International will establish a ₹525-crore greenfield dairy protein complex, and SVF Soya will invest ₹373 crore in an edible oil and soy protein unit, benefiting two lakh farmers.
Mother Dairy will set up a ₹260-crore juice and pulp processing facility, while E–Royce EV is setting up a ₹200-crore advanced electric vehicle unit. The ALEAP Women’s Park, being developed at ₹27 crore, will support 4,000 women entrepreneurs through training and employment.
Mr. Naidu said another eight industries with a total investment of ₹6,339 crore are set to come to Kuppam soon, creating 43,000 more jobs. “We aim to make Kuppam India’s model constituency, 100 per cent solar-powered, zero-landfill, and industrially vibrant,” he said.
Highlighting welfare alongside growth, the Chief Minister detailed the ongoing social initiatives, pensions for 37,000 beneficiaries, LPG and housing schemes, solar rooftops for SC/ST families, and support for dairy farmers.
“Industrial growth and welfare must go hand in hand. The people’s cooperation is key to sustained progress,” he said.
Calling it an unforgettable day in his public life, Mr. Naidu thanked the Kuppam residents for their trust and support. “It’s my responsibility to bring industries; it is the people’s responsibility to make the best use of them. If we work together, the sky is the limit,” he added.
