The Andhra Pradesh government has issued orders for the alienation of two acres of land at West Bapatla village in Bapatla mandal in favour of the district president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Bapatla, for the construction of a party office building.
According to G.O. 534, issued on December 31, 2025, two acres have been allotted on a lease basis for a period of 33 years. The lease rent has been fixed at ₹1,000 per acre per annum, in accordance with the provisions of G.O. 340 dated July 21, 2016, and other applicable G.Os.
The decision follows a proposal submitted by the Bapatla District Collector and subsequent recommendations made by the Andhra Pradesh Land Management Authority (APLMA) during its meeting held on December 16, 2025. The proposal was initiated at the request of Bapatla MLA Vegesana Narendra Varma Raju.
The government has stipulated several conditions for the alienation. The land must be utilised strictly for the intended purpose within three years, and it cannot be transferred, leased or alienated further without the prior approval from the Revenue Department. Existing roads and water bodies, if any, must not be disturbed, and no construction is permitted on environmentally sensitive or fragile areas.
