The first song from period drama Devi Chowdhurani has been unveiled, and it arrives as a stirring ode to courage and nationhood. Titled Durgamo Giri Kantar Moru, the composition beautifully blends the immortal verses of Kazi Nazrul Islam with the patriotic fervor of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay’s Vande Mataram, reimagined by percussion maestro Bickram Ghosh on the 150th year of the national song.The track features a stellar vocal line-up including Iman Chakraborty, Timir Biswas, Durnibar Saha, Ujjaini Mukherjee, and Bickram Ghosh himself. Their collective energy brings both grandeur and devotion, making the song a celebration of Bengal’s literary and musical heritage.Sharing his thoughts, Bickram said, “Durgamo Giri holds a deep patriotic resonance for every Bengali-speaking soul.
