She set me free from the teen gunna turmoil I was paying, with her magical ways of kindness, empathy, and warmth. Charlotte’s been here in India now for longer than she was in Bristol, she’s learnt Hindi, understands Marathi, and loves the Indian inside me.

Speaking about Aamir and Kiran’s separation earlier, Amin had once shared his thoughts with Bombay Times on the matter. He said, "Frankly, we were prepared for this official announcement. It was very heartbreaking for us as Charlotte and I were the Best Man and Woman at their wedding. I feel that sometimes two good people may end up not being too good together."He further added, "Me and my wife have mulled over the news and dealt with this emotionally. We are parents of two young girls who too are close to Aamir, Kiran and even Azad and we have to sensitively explain the situation to them. We told them their equation is still the same, just the (marital) status has changed." His words show how close the two families have been over the years and how their bond has stood strong through time.
