‘Aapke Bacche Ka Ilaj Nahi Karungi’: Woman Doctor Slaps Patient’s Father At Ahmedabad Hospital, Says ‘Phone Nichay Kar’

At Ahmedabad’s Sola Civil Hospital, a shocking incident has triggered widespread debate after a doctor was seen slapping a patient’s father during a tense argument. The confrontation reportedly took place on October 26 and was captured on video, which soon began circulating online.

According to a report by Free Press Journal, the man involved was identified as Ashik Haribhai Chavda, who sought medical help for his daughter. Things reportedly went wrong after the doctor on duty allegedly refused to treat the child.

The Clash Inside The Hospital

In the viral video, shared on X (formerly Twitter), the doctor is seen dressed in a yellow kurta and wearing a stethoscope. The situation gets tense when she spots Chavda recording on his phone.

The doctor loses her cool and slaps Chavda to stop him from recording. She tells him, “Mobile neeche karo (Put your mobile down)." He refuses and replies, “Kyu neeche kare? (Why should I put it down?)."

A security guard nearby tries to step in and asks, “Kya ho raha hai? (What’s happening?)" but that only seems to add fuel to the moment. The doctor turns to him and angrily says, “Security guard toh kuch karta hi nahi hai (The security guard never does anything)."

In the same clip, the doctor can also be heard saying, “Mai aapke bacche ka ilaj nahi karungi kyuki aap mujhse badtameezi kar rahe hai (I won’t treat your child because you are misbehaving with me)."

Chavda responds, “Humne kya badtameezi ki? (What misbehaviour did I do?)" before the footage cuts off abruptly.

Internet Splits Into Two Sides

While many viewers expressed anger at the doctor’s conduct and demanded action against her, others questioned whether the clip showed the full story.

One user commented, “No incident like this should happen again. Action must be taken against her."

“This female doctor should be immediately relieved of her position, as it seems she has become arrogant about being a doctor," another demanded.

A similar comment read, “The Doctor must be dismissed from her services."

Some users jumped to the doctor’s defence and pointed out that the video might not reveal the entire situation.

A person said, “This appears to be a reaction video. No one can be judged with one-sided video."

“He didn’t even post the whole story behind it. He might have misbehaved with her. Anyone just cannot barge in and ask for treatment. He surely didn’t follow the rules and protocol," read another comment.

Ahmedabad Police Steps In

As the video gained momentum online, Ahmedabad Police stepped in to address the situation. In an official post, they stated, “No complaint or application has been received at the police station regarding this incident."

The patient’s relatives told the police that they did not wish to register any formal complaint or application regarding the incident.
