fter months of speculation, the wait is finally over. NFL legend Aaron Rodgers has officially joined the Pittsburgh Steelers as their starting quarterback for the 2025 season.
The team confirmed the signing late last week, marking a new chapter in Rodgers’ illustrious career. Rodgers, who will turn 42 in December, arrived at the Steelers’ facility on Saturday where he passed his physical and inked his one-year contract. As per NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the deal is worth $10 million guaranteed with a base salary of $13.65 million. Performance incentives could elevate the total value to an impressive $19.5 million.
The contract may be short-term, but Rodgers is already making it clear that he’s not treating this as just another stop on his journey.

Although Rodgers' stint with the New York Jets ended after the 2024 season, Rodgers was still under the final year of a three-year, $112.5 million contract before the team decided to move on. Having already racked up over $381 million in career earnings—making him the highest-paid player in NFL history, according to Over the Cap—this latest move to Pittsburgh wasn’t about chasing another payday.
But Rodgers being Rodgers, he still managed to turn heads with his off-the-field moves. According to Barstool Sports, the quarterback has purchased a jaw-dropping $30 million mansion near Acrisure Stadium. Despite signing for just one year, Rodgers is going all-in on his new surroundings.
The mansion is anything but ordinary. Barstool Yinzers revealed that it comes with a par-3 golf course, a massive swimming pool, a pool house, and a full-service horse stable.
