Aasif Sheikh reacts to reports of Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain! 2.0 ending as news of the channel’s revamp surfaces

Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain! 2.0 has been entertaining audiences for the past 10 years. The show, which premiered in 2015, is currently making headlines as rumours about it going off air continue to circulate.

However, seasoned actor Aasif Sheikh, who plays the role of Vibhuti Narayan Mishra has finally responded to rumours about Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain! going off air amid reports of a possible &TV shutdown.In an interview with Variety India, Aasif Sheikh addressed the rumours surrounding BJGPH and confirmed that the show has been shifted to an OTT platform. He said, “Yes, Bhabiji is being moved to the OTT platform of Z5. This is what all of us (the cast and crew) knows.

I am unaware of the media reports going around currently but we were informed of the shift to the digital platform a month back."In an earlier chat with News18, Aasif had told the news portal that he is fine with the idea of the show shifting to an OTT platform, he shared, "I am cool with the show being shifted to a streaming platform. This is the future of viewing. What is important is that people are watching the show. Nowadays, people work long hours and also commute a lot for travel.

"Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain! is one of the most popular comedy shows in India. The show recently underwent a revamp and Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain 2.0 was launched and the OG Angoori Bhabhi Shilpa Shinde marked her comeback to the show after 10 years. She replaced Shubhangi Atre earlier this year. The makers also came up with a film Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain: Fun on the Run which was released in February 2026. The films starred Aasif Sheikh, Shubhangi Atre, Ravi Kishan, Vidisha Srivastava and Rohitashav Gaur in prominent roles.
