The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Telangana, registered 31 cases and enquiries in August 2025, including 15 trap cases, two disproportionate assets cases, three criminal misconduct cases, seven regular enquiries and four surprise checks.
During the operations, 22 public servants, including four outsourcing employees and private persons, were trapped or arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Cash amounting to ₹2,82,500 was seized in trap cases across various departments. In one disproportionate assets case, property worth ₹5.13 crore was unearthed.
From January to August 2025, the Bureau booked 179 cases, comprising 108 trap cases, 11 disproportionate assets cases, 18 cases of criminal misconduct, 18 regular enquiries, 21 surprise checks and three discreet enquiries. In the same period, 167 public servants, including 14 outsourcing staff and private individuals, were caught and remanded. Trap cases led to seizures totalling ₹33.12 lakh, while disproportionate assets worth ₹44.30 crore were unearthed.
The ACB finalised 25 cases in August and forwarded their reports to the government. Between January and August, 177 cases were closed with final reports submitted.
The Bureau urged citizens to report bribery demands by dialling the toll-free number 1064 or through its social media platforms, including WhatsApp (9440446106), Facebook (Telangana ACB) and X (@TelanganaACB). It assured that the identity of complainants would be kept confidential.
