Sean “Diddy” Combs faces up to 20 years in prison
Last month, Diddy was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges but was found guilty on two counts of “transportation to engage in prostitution.” He faces up to 20 years in prison and has already been denied bail several times over public safety concerns.
His sentencing is set for October 3.Douglas Wigdor, attorney for Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura—who testified against him—called the idea of him counselling abusers “utterly preposterous.” Another alleged survivor described it as “manipulation at its best,” adding, “It’s a mockery of the system and of everyone he’s hurt. He needs intensive therapy.”Despite the possibility of a long sentence, Diddy remains hopeful. His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said the rapper wants to get back to making music in his studio. However, industry insiders told RadarOnline that it’s unrealistic to think he can simply walk out of prison and return to the music and business world he once dominated.
