BENGALURU: Police on Saturday arrested self-claimed activist Puneet Kerehalli for barging into houses of 'immigrants' living at Bingipura in Bannerghatta on Friday and demanding their documents.Kerehalli was arrested by jurisdictional police from the Bannerghatta station, following the complaint filed by Siddesh, owner of the land where the migrants lived. Cops booked Kerehalli for trespass and issuing threats.On Friday, Kerehalli barged into the makeshift sheds and houses of the suspected migrants and demanded their documents. According to Kerehalli, they were illegal migrants."We produced Kerehalli before a court on Saturday afternoon, and he was let out on bail. We are inquiring into the names and other details of the migrants," police said.
