Adi Dravidar hostel inmates taken ill after food

Inmates of Government Adi Dravidar Girls Hostel at Pattukottai were taken ill after having food at the hostel on June 13.

According to sources, 30 girls were staying in the hostel run at a marriage hall at Pattukottai for the last three years and were pursuing their school studies at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Pattukottai.

After taking food at the hostel on Friday morning, they went to the school and at around 11 a.m. six of them started vomitting and swooned.

Immediately they were rushed to the Government Hospital, Pattukottai, for treatment. In the meantime, other hostel students suffered from dehydration following vomiting and they were rushed to the government hospital. All of them responded to the treatment and were out of danger, sources said.
