Adobe and Google Cloud expand partnership bringing Gemini’s photo and video AI models to creative suit

Adobe and Google Cloud have announced an expansion of their partnership wherein Adobe will integrate Google’s most advanced AI models, including the Gemini model as well as the Veo (video) and Imagen (photo) models, directly into Adobe’s creative ecosystem.

The partnership was announced at the Adobe MAX 2025 annual conference currently underway in Los Angeles.

Google AI inside Adobe apps

Under the partnership, Adobe customers will gain direct access to Google’s latest AI technology within popular Adobe applications, including Adobe Firefly, Photoshop, Adobe Express and Adobe Premiere.The integration will allow users to generate richer images and higher-quality video, giving creators the choice to work with multiple top-tier AI models directly within Adobe’s secure platform.“Our partnership with Google Cloud brings together Adobe’s creative DNA and Google’s AI models to empower creators and brands to push the boundaries of what’s possible—from Adobe Firefly and Creative Cloud to Adobe Firefly Foundry,” said Shantanu Narayen, Chairman and CEO of Adobe.Meanwhile, enterprise customers will be able to leverage Google’s AI models on Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform.

Adobe, YouTube partner for Shorts content creation

The announcement follows another recent partnership revealed by Adobe with YouTube, focused on bringing advanced video editing tools from Premiere to YouTube Shorts.

The partnership that will bring professional-grade video editing capabilities directly into YouTube Shorts, helping creators produce higher-quality short-form content and grow their audiences. The collaboration integrates Adobe Premiere’s mobile video editing tools with YouTube's short-form video platform through a new feature called "Create for YouTube Shorts”.According to Adobe, the partnership will integrate a dedicated content creation space into the Premiere mobile app, allowing creators to produce and instantly publish videos directly to YouTube Shorts without leaving the app. This feature will be accessible from YouTube by tapping an "Edit in Adobe Premiere" icon.
