Agricultural labour dies in Hosanagara taluk

An agricultural labour died after falling from an areca tree at Kilandur near Karimane in Hosanagara taluk of Shivamogga.

The deceased has been identified as Sadiq, 42, of Mattimane village. He suffered serious injuries while spraying medicine to areca plantation at Kilanduru on August 18.

He was taken to the primary health centre in Hosanagar and shifted to McGann Hospital in Shivamogga. Later, he was shifted to another hospital in Mangaluru, where died succumbed on Thursday night.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters. The Hosanagara Police have registered the case.
