Actor Aham Sharma, usually returning to Bihar for Chhath Puja, will celebrate in Mumbai this year due to a demanding schedule.
For actor Aham Sharma, Chhath Puja has always been more than just a festival — it’s an emotion deeply rooted in his upbringing. Every year, he makes it a point to travel back home to celebrate the occasion with family and friends.
“It’s one of the biggest festivals for us, as grand and joyous as Diwali. The celebrations back home have a special charm,” he shares. This year, however, work commitments have kept him in Mumbai. “Normally, I travel back to my hometown in Bihar, but this year, due to my packed schedule, I won’t be able to make the trip. Still, Chhath Puja holds great significance for me, so I plan to celebrate it here in Mumbai and make the most of it in my own way,” he says.Even though he will miss the community gatherings and rituals by the river, Aham is finding ways to stay connected. “My relatives will be keeping me in the loop through video calls during the rituals. It’s not the same as being there in person, but it will still make me feel close to everyone and a part of the celebrations,” he adds.On the professional front, Aham is currently seen as Dr Aakash in Sampoorna. Sharing about his role, he said, “It’s a complex character, unlike anything I’ve done before. I’m thoroughly enjoying the process of bringing him to life, especially seeing how positively the audience has responded,” he says.
