The registration window for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 20 closes today, October 28, 2025. Conducted by the Bar Council of India (BCI), the AIBE is a qualifying exam that allows law graduates to obtain a Certificate of Practice, enabling them to practice law across Indian courts.
Candidates who have completed their LL.B. from a recognised institution are eligible to apply.The exam, which will be held on November 30, 2025, assesses candidates’ understanding of core legal principles and procedural laws. AIBE 20: Eligibility criteria
To apply for AIBE 20, candidates must:
- Hold a three-year or five-year LL.B. degree from a recognised law school.
- Be enrolled with a State Bar Council under Section 24(1)(f) of the Advocates Act, 1961.
- Have a valid enrollment number issued by the State Bar Council.
- Note that there is no upper age limit for the examination.

- Recent passport-sized photograph and signature
- LL.B. degree/mark sheets
- State Bar Council enrollment certificate

AIBE 20: Admit card and examination centres
The AIBE 20 admit card will be released on November 15, 2025. Candidates can download it from the official website using their registration credentials.
