Aidan Zingg, a 16-year-old rising motocross star, died after suffering a fatal heart injury during a race at the 2025 Mammoth Motocross event in Mammoth Lakes, California, on June 28.

According to the coroner’s report obtained by TMZ Sports, Aidan was found face down on the track with no pulse and not breathing. Medics reached him immediately and used AED shocks and CPR, but he could not be revived. The autopsy confirmed he passed away from cardiac tamponade hemopericardium caused by the crash. He was competing in one of the most followed amateur races in the country.

Racers and fans were seen in shock as the race was stopped. Aidan had been performing strongly in recent races and was known for his sharp skill and calm racing style. He had been racing professionally since a young age and was already gaining attention from major sponsors.
