Air hostess found dead in Rajendranagar apartment

A 25-year-old air hostess from Jammu, working with a leading private airline, was found dead at her rented flat in Rajendranagar last week. The Rajendranagar police booked a suicide case and launched a probe.

The deceased, identified as Janvi Gupta, was living in Kenworth Apartments, a gated community near Aramghar X Roads, for the past six months. She was residing in Hyderabad for nearly five years and working as an air hostess for 4-5 years.

According to police, the incident came to light on the morning of October 24 when Jahnavi’s friends, who had stayed over after a party the previous night, found her lifeless in her bedroom. “While her friends slept in the hall, she went into her room, where she ended her life. Her friends alerted her family, who reached Hyderabad on the same day and lodged a complaint,” said a police official.

Investigations revealed that Jahnavi had been reportedly struggling with depression for the past few months, allegedly due her father’s ill health. Police said she last spoke to her mother on Monday night.
