A video has surfaced showing how people in nearby hostels tried to save their lives by climbing down from balconies after the London-bound Air India flight, with 242 on board, crashed into the BJ Medical College Hostel near Ahmedabad airport.

In the videos, accessed by India Today TV, MBBS students can be seen trying desperately to climb down from the second and third floors by tying clothes together.
