Lucknow: Akansha Jain of the MBBS 2020 batch will receive the prestigious Chancellor’s Medal, the highest honour of the Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS), during the institute’s third convocation ceremony scheduled on June 15 at IGP Jupiter Hall.Governor Anandiben Patel will attend the function. The Chancellor’s Medal is awarded to the best all-round undergraduate student for excellence in academics, research, sports, literary and cultural activities.Harman Singh of the MBBS 2020 batch will receive the Director’s Medal, the institute’s second-highest honour, awarded to the best MBBS graduate for securing the highest aggregate marks across all three professional examinations.A total of 26 medals will be awarded to students from DM/MCh, MD, MBBS, MSc Nuclear Medicine and BSc Nursing courses during the convocation.Among the major academic achievers, Vaishnavi Srivastava will receive the gold medal for securing the first position in the MBBS Final Professional Part-II examination, along with the institute subject medal in paediatrics.In postgraduate courses, gold medals will be awarded to Dr Shikhar Garg in DM Cardiology, Dr Abhishek Mishra in MCh Urology and Dr Vinay Sagar in DM Nephrology for securing the highest marks in their respective specialities.The institute will also honour Arvind N with a gold medal in MSc Nuclear Medicine and Shikha Verma with the university medal in BSc Nursing.
