Please do your part in any way possible and share only verified information."Cause and impact of floodingHeavy rains in the hills of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir caused the Sutlej, Beas, and Ravi rivers to flood, leading to severe flooding in Punjab. More than 1,000 villages and over 61,000 hectares of farmland are underwater. The worst-affected areas are Gurdaspur, Fazilka, Kapurthala, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Hoshiarpur, and Amritsar. For safety, the Char Dham Yatra and Hemkund Sahib pilgrimage have been paused until September 5.
