Water levels in the Krishna and its tributaries reduced following a let-up in rainfall and minimum water discharged from Maharashtra on Sunday.
Some of the 18 bridge-cum-barrages that had come under river waters in Belagavi and Bagalkot districts were thrown open for traffic.
The total discharge at the inter-State gauge in Kallol barrage was 2,02,072 cusecs. This was 19,668 cusecs less than that of Saturday.
The inflow at the Almatti reservoir was 2.71 lakh cusecs and outflow 1.75 lakh cusecs. The dam has 106.3 tmcft or 86.3% of the full capacity.
The Hippargi barrage recorded an inflow of 2.43 lakh cusecs and an outflow of 2.42 lakh cusecs. As the inflow is high in the Krishna, the river is in free flow condition hence, storage is not being done in the monsoon period, officials said.
The Renuka Sagar dam on the Malaprabha has 50 tmcft storage against a full capacity of 51 tmcft. It recorded an inflow of 9,196 cusecs and an outflow of 9,827 cusecs.
