Amazon Web Services (AWS) has denied the reports of a new service outage affecting its cloud infrastructure, following a wave of user complaints and social media speculation. The company has clarified that its systems are completely operational and has attributed the confusion to issues stemming from another infrastructure provider.
The reports about AWS outage started circulating later Wednesday (October 29) after some users reported connectivity issues on multiple platforms. This prompted the speculation that AWS is once again experiencing service outage. “AWS is operating normally and this reporting is incorrect. The only resource on the internet that provides accurate data on the availability of our services is the AWS Health Dashboard,” a spokesperson told Times of India.
What exactly happened
As per multiple online reports, the confusion about AWS outage started from a separate infrastructure provider experiencing technical difficulties. AWS was not the source of the problem, and its core services—including EC2, S3, and Lambda—remained stable throughout the incident. The AWS Health Dashboard showed no abnormalities during the time of the reports, reinforcing the company’s position that its systems were unaffected.
Amazon is set to report its Q3 2025 earnings
Amazon is set to report its Q3 2025 earnings after market close on October 30, with investor attention sharply focused on the performance of AWS and the company’s escalating AI investments. Analysts expect Amazon to post continued revenue growth, driven by strong advertising and e-commerce segments, though concerns linger over AWS’s recent market share losses and margin compression. The company’s Q2 results exceeded expectations, but a cautious Q3 outlook and rising capital expenditures—particularly in AI infrastructure—have kept investor sentiment mixed.
