Amy Schumer wipes all old Instagram posts before debuting her new look

Amy Schumer surprised her followers this week by completely clearing her Instagram feed. The comedian, who has long been open about her health journey and body image, deleted all her previous posts — including those documenting her recent weight loss transformation.

She then returned with a fresh start, posting a single new photo of herself looking radiant in a red Valentino mini dress. The reset immediately sparked curiosity, leading fans to wonder what prompted such a bold move.

Her new post and playful comeback

Amy’s comeback post was simple and lighthearted. Posing confidently in a stunning red dress paired with Chanel shoes, she captioned the moment with her trademark humor, “I actually left my house tonight. Who’s proud? I’m feeling good and happy. Deleted my old pics for no reason!”

Earlier, she had teased the change by sharing a screenshot of her first-ever Instagram post on her Stories, writing, “My first ever Insta post. I’m gonna erase them all cause why not?”Her tone remained playful, suggesting the reset was spontaneous rather than symbolic.

Fan reactions and Amy’s clarification

The sudden wipeout led many followers and media outlets to speculate that Amy had deleted her old posts because she no longer liked how she looked before losing weight. As speculation grew, Amy addressed the issue in another heartfelt post. She clarified that her decision had nothing to do with body image, writing, “I’m proud of how I’ve looked always.”

She added that her focus has been on “healing and feeling pain-free,” and that she now feels “great, strong, and beautiful.”

Amy reminded fans that Instagram is a curated platform — not a reflection of someone’s entire identity.

Her ongoing health challenges

Amy has consistently used her platform to speak openly about her health struggles. She has battled endometriosis, perimenopause, and Cushing syndrome, and experienced severe side effects from medications like Ozempic. In a candid interview with Howard Stern on SiriusXM, she revealed, “I have this gene, GDF15, which makes you extremely prone to nausea, which is why I was so sick during my pregnancy. So, I tried Ozempic almost three years ago, and I was, like, bedridden. I was vomiting, and then you have no energy. But other people take it, and they’re all good. So, God bless them.”
