Indian tennis icon Rohan Bopanna retired from his illustrious career on Saturday, ending his two-decade-long journey in competitive sport. Bopanna holds the distinction of being the oldest player to reach the top of the world rankings, achieving the number one spot at the age of 43 in 2024. In 2023, Bopanna, alongside his partner Matthew Ebden, won the Indian Wells ATP Masters 1000, becoming the oldest player to win a Masters 1000 title at 43. His crowning moment came with a victory at the Australian Open in 2024, again with Ebden, reaching the pinnacle in a manner befitting an icon.
