Minister for Endowments Anam Ramanarayana Reddy on Sunday (October 19, 2025) distributed financial aid worth ₹85.50 lakh under Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to 111 patients in Atmakur Constituency, who underwent surgery and high-end treatments.
With this, the cumulative amount sanctioned over the last fourteen months under CMRF in Atmakur Assembly segment alone stands at ₹5.06 crore, benefiting a whopping 492 families.
At a function organised at Atmakur bus stand junction, Mr. Ramanarayana Reddy said that the NDA alliance government would always stand by the poor and the needy. He thanked Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for extending liberal support to patients suffering from financial distress after undergoing complicated medical procedures, under CMRF across the State.
On the eve of Deepavali, he also distributed kits containing clothes and essentials to 125 municipal staff.
Meanwhile, the officials acted swiftly on complaints of power outage at the Government Hospital in Atmakur. Following the complaints of the patients and their attendants, Mr. Ramanarayana Reddy directed Revenue Divisional Officer B. Pavani and Deputy Superintendent of Police B. Venugopal to submit a report on the matter.
The officials visited the hospital on Sunday and spoke to the patients, who alleged that there was a power disruption for fifteen minutes due to heavy rains on Saturday night (October 18). The low voltage issue persisted for a while before the generators were switched on. The Power Department was pressed into service to ensure uninterrupted supply of power.
The Minister appealed to the public not to believe in the distorted stories making rounds on social media.
